✨ What is FLAM's autonomy?
FLAM's autonomy depends on a number of factors: simple listening of stories or other actions (transferring audiobooks via Wi-Fi), listening via headphones (wired or Bluetooth) or not, sound volume, whether or not the device is left in standby mode, and so on. When FLAM is fully charged, and depending on conditions of use, it can be used for 6 to 8 hours.
💡After 5 minutes of inactivity, FLAM switches off automatically to conserve battery power.
✨ How to recharge FLAM ?
FLAM's battery level can be seen in the top right-hand corner of the screen. A logo indicate the battery level.
🔌To recharge FLAM, use the USB-C cable supplied with your purchase.You then have two options:
👉 Recharge FLAM from a computer : plug your device into a USB port on your computer. FLAM's LED will light up red or orange, indicating that the device is charging. The computer must be switched on, not in standby mode. If FLAM's LED does not light up, try plugging your device into another USB port or connecting it with another USB-C cable.
👉Recharge FLAM on mains supply: connect your device to the mains supply using a USB adapter. We recommend 5V USB adapters. We do not recommend "fast charge" adapters, which can damage the battery. The device LED lights up red or orange when the device is charging.
When FLAM is charging, a small light-up⚡ logo appears next to the battery gauge :
🪫Once the FLAM battery is 100% charged, the LED goes out.
👀 Once FLAM is 100% charged, it stops charging, even if it's still plugged in. So if you leave it charging overnight, it's normal for it not to be at 100% in the morning.
💡 For optimum recharging, we advise you to switch FLAM off while it's plugged in. However, you can still use and listen to FLAM while it's charging.
✨ A few advices to preserve FLAM's battery
- Avoid using "fast charge" or "quick charge" adapters, which can damage your device's battery. These are usually labelled 7V, 9V or 12V.
- Avoid leaving your device discharged for too long. If you know you won't be using FLAM for a long time, leave it half-charged in a dry place.
- Avoid recharging FLAM in a hot environment, exposing it to high temperatures or leaving it in the sun for long periods.
